How do we get started?
Email us at support@thecolombian.ca and we will get you set up on our online portal. It is quick and easy, and we are always happy to walk you through the whole thing.
How do we choose the coffees?
We always have a few coffees available month to month including Dark Mule Espresso, Workhorse, and Siesta Decaf, plus rotating single origin coffees from our small producer partners. We can also curate a selection of 3 to 4 coffees for your fundraiser if you want to keep things simple.
How do we take orders?
Use our order sheet template or track orders however works best for your organization. You submit everything as one final transaction through our online portal.
How do we submit the final order each month?
Log in to our online portal, input all the coffees that were ordered, and pay via credit card at the wholesale rate. Since you have already collected payment from your community, your profit is already in your hands before you even place the order.
How do we charge people and collect our cut?
You collect payment from your community however works for you. Cash, cheque, or credit card. When you submit your final order, you pay the wholesale rate and keep everything above that.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast every single week at our Glenora location. Your community is getting genuinely fresh specialty coffee.
Do you offer whole bean or ground coffee?
Whole bean only.
Do we have to run this every month?
Our fundraising partners have found the most success running it monthly because coffee is something people buy over and over again. But if a one time fundraiser works better for you, we can absolutely do that too.
How much do we make per bag?
Our coffee retails between $20 and $28 per bag. You sell at retail, pay wholesale, and keep the difference. As an example, a standard 300g bag sells for $20, you pay $13.42, and your organization keeps $6.58. That is a 33% margin on every single bag.
